One more time...
Looking good. I like the pins through the tongues to hold the track in place.
Looks like you figured it out -good job Thanks for posting the pics. Cool looking start box.
This is my track that my dad and built 10 years ago. The slope is 24 feet long and stands 5 feet high. It comes apart into three 8 foot sections. It features an electronic start. I has a portable button that I can press when I stand at the end of the track. The button energizes the solinoid at the bottom of the gate, which pulls down on the latch. Which releases the spring-loaded gate. And off they go ! Plus, I like the Hot Wheels orange !
well done jamma, looks like having the whole length inclined oughta make the cars scream...
Now that is one slick set up right there.
Here is the first day the "Bunk Board" track was used at our church...its straight and fast! The overall length of the track is 25 feet using seamless Hot Wheels track. My fastest time on this track is 1.89 seconds from start to finish. Hopefully I can post some pictures.

I only used the pushpins when I first setup my track...really didn't know what else to do to keep the track from sliding around. Then I was talking with (John, the guy who makes the "Judge" finish lines ) and I got the idea of using "Roofing Nails". They fit the track perfectly and slide right in the grove. Just use a small washer under the Roofing Nail before hammering it down...and presto your track will lay flat and straight. I only use the roofing nails now at the start and finish of my 25 ft track, because of the different setup I'm currently using. Hope this helps...and its CHEAP!!
