@ Preacher: how do you time your races. Is your finish linked to the start gate somehow?

Stop watch...soooooo it's not totally accurate but within the ballpark. As soon as the gate opens the timer starts and when they enter the stop box it ends. I haven't figured out how to hook up my Cray supercomputer to compute the numbers.

Love the blue, yellow and red paint scheme -totally Hot Wheels!
I like your start gate and love the rolled up towel in the catch box. I've also been using a folded towel lately to stop my cars. It makes for a very soft landing
Also, if you reduce the photo size in Photobucket or Flickr, it will all fit into the forum page. I set mine at 640.

Here is our league track.

We expanded our 25 ft track today and added another 16 ft to give us a total of 40+ feet of racing action! It was great, and everyone really had a good time.

The Big Track, From 12' to 30', 24' version shown in photo. Perfect size for a parking space. This one just happend to be a Handicap Spot in a closed off area at a Car Show.
And The Jersey Shore Dragway. 12' of really cool racing!

Another shot of the Big Track at another Car Show in it's 30' max length. Thats "dasimon1" soakin up the sun & some cool kid who was a big help for the day.

Love the 'car return' system you've got going there. Would be cool to figure out how to get the cars all the way back to the start gate

Since these pictures were taken I have gotten more track sections. I can go another 8' or so each side but haven't had the big track out to try it yet. It really does save on the cars when they dont hit anything hard at the end. I use a terrycloth pillow in the trap box (ala Jersey Shore Dragway) when I don't have the room for the turn arounds. Both tracks share the Starting Gate and "The Judge" Finish Line.
