Show off your tracks
i made some connectors... they are the thickness of the purple stockers [plus bumps]... the sloppies don't have bumps...
so when you push the sloppies connector 2 inches into the uphill track section it tends to pull the siderails [IN]....i made them 4" long... i had to cut them to 3" because they pull the track in so much...
push 2" of the connector into the uphill, it narrows it more than the 1" into the lower track... no seam hang-ups... i didn't plan this.... SERENDIPITY !... i made 240, pm me with needs.
What did you make those connectors outta?
they are white, light dispersers from 4 foot long ; LIGHTS OF AMERICA STAINLESS STEEL SHOP LIGHT. mine were 49" x 7" x 1/16", friend and i cut them into 1" strips on a table saw, then cut them to 4" long, shoulda cut 'em to 3" long, on a chop saw..they are slightly brittle...
Next time you send some cars back out this way Smitty maybe you can throw a few in there. No hurry at all it usually just a couple spots that develop problems. Tastelikedirt raceway is in a 40 foot metal storage container and right now it's got about a foot and a half of snow all around it with more falling as we speak...ah sunny California.
done !

Hey what a great idea,...I bought some HW track sections and the connectors were soooo tight that it caused the track to pull in like you said. I'll try and cut down the connectors and see if this helps.

keep on trying to make a better tracks

Yes, I've noticed this as well. When it's really cold, the seams become more stiff and can cause cars to come off the track when they usually don't when it's warmer.
