So many choices to collect
I've mentioned that I missed the whole Hot Wheels thing growing up and I got here mainly because of racing not collecting. I've mulled over a little bit on what to collect but this weekend it hit me to collect Jeeps. During my high school years in a small Nevada town I worked at the Dodge - Jeep dealership washing waxing cars - shop gopher - and changing tires. So I drove a lot of Jeeps new or used and was sent all over that rural area in the shops 1955 Willys Jeep pickup. I look back at that as a real treat cruising around in that old jeep. It was like this red one except it was green and white.
So yeah jeeps and I might also include the classic Ford Broncos primarily because I had a rare opportunity when working at a Firestone store to drive one of Parnelli Jones' Baja 1000 Broncos across the parking lot to get it in the shop for the evening. I recall just touching the gas pedal produced a chirp from the tires.

since I was 14, only drivem mopars
(cheap "flip them bombers do't count, as I sold lots of fords and gm's)
still have my '72 challenger I bought in '78 400k miles on it
also a sweet sport for VW type 1-4's, and vans
and movie/tv cars, starships, cool/unique paint
so I collect and build mopars, and never wheel harvest from them
fantasy, and all non mopars die to give their wheels...lol
and No One on the wall is safe

- Sounds like you may have a dodge complex. They say the cure is to buy 2 Ford Mustangs at midnite at a Walmart. And they have to be Hot Wheels not some knock-offs. Just letting you know. — AbbyNormal

- European sports and touring cars have become part of my profession and a big motivator for my collection as well. To me, collecting and racing go hand in hand. As a racer, it always helps to have a collector's knowledge of different castings and the variations thereof. And as a collector, a racer's mindset is what helps maintain interest in the hobby. After all, even the finest displayed collections will become boring after a while. IMO, the interactivity of racing can redefine the collector.
- I came here for the racing and that has driven most of my purchases. But now I’m seeing the depth of the different cars and castings I have cars in a small collection. And am slowly getting die cast versions of the various cars I’ve owned/driven. I then repaint and customize them as I see fit. And I do have an affinity for classic sports cars like the MG-B and TR6. — AbbyNormal
I like funny cars and Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes. Oh rally cars are cool. And then rally trucks. Any cool dragster catches my attention. Exotic sports cars are fun. Fantasy cars are cool. Indy cars. Nascars. 30's & 40's street rods.....ummm... well I kinda have a problem.....?
