Spent some QUALITY time with my son this morning
Any guess how we spent the time???
Set up my track, pulled his cars out of the case and let him race them on my track.
After a few races, and listening to me judge the ability of his cars, he learned to say "that's a good racer" or "that's not a good racer". That's my boy!
A couple of cars in his collection I thought would look good in a picture together. The car in the back is a Johnny Lightning.
His favorite dump truck's wheels were too wide to fit on the track. Every time we tried to race it, it crashed.
Calvin~ "Papa, could you put good wheels on it?"
This I could do...
Big difference! Now it's a good racer

Maybe we need a tournament where each team is made up of a regular RLD member and a youngster be they sons or daughters nieces or nephews even grandchildren or even a neighbor or a friends kid. Say they are 12 or younger. Let the youngster pick the car, the color, names, numbers and addons. Then us grown ups can do the building and you can test it together. Call it 3-2-1 blast off...............or something like that....somebody pick this up and run with it please.....
I'LD BE GLAD TO CO-ORDINATE THIS SERIES FOR FAST FRED AND THE OTHER JUNIOR RACERS...
I'LD BE WILLING TO HOST THE FINAL HEET IN AUBURN, ME.
.......SPIT BALLING !
1. HOW MANY KIDS DO WE HAVE ? _ _ _
2. DO THEY GET THE CARS AFTER THE RACE, IF SO, NO LEAD PLEASE...
3. MAYBE NO FTEs AS THAT WOULD KEEP THE CARS EVEN AND CHEAPER TO BUILD...
4. MAYBE THE KIDS CHOOSE THE CARS THEY WANT...WE THROW THEIR INDIVIDUAL CAR CHOICES INTO A POOL...WE EACH PICK AND BUILD A CAR , NOT KNOWING WHICH RACER WILL GET IT !... [SOME BUILDERS MAY BUILD MORE THAN ONE]... LETS NOT LEAVE ANY RDR KIDS OUT...
5. MAYBE 4 OR 5 HEETS ?
6. FINALS DURING SCHOOL XMAS VACATION WOULD BE COOL... DURING THE WEEK IS COOL HERE...
7. < 40 GRAMS ?
8. MAYBE 2 OR MORE RACES AT EACH LOCATION...
9. LETS SET UP A GOOD PRIZE PACKAGE...
... EVERYONE'S $0.02 WANTED...
Junior Racers is a better title.... I'm in.
Super Cool!
