Discussion

Is there video or pictures of the track that this will race on?

  • low country diecast racing on YouTube. — CrazyEights
  • I think you will like the track RP. IMm sure you will be the one to beat. Hope to be racing with you there. — Flip81

  • The clip I just sent is one of our better videos actually. Just starting out but be do everything live. So you don’t have to wait on the results. We improve each time we do it. Adding two more tracks to the league. Just fun racing. Weekly pickem races winner gets a five pack of cars and monthly tournaments. This first one is pretty simple. Just to let everyone know we are for real. Then we co to ur to improve. I’m a big fan of yours so it would be an honor to have you race at our track. — FPD_Racing

Any era you say?

  • Wish I could find a fat fendered 40 with NASCAR decals. — CrazyEights
  • Make one! Most of those paint schemes were super basic--white with big numbers, few if any sponsors — Uncle_Elvis
  • I might try that. Find an old junker and bring it back to life. — CrazyEights

I've been staying away from the fat track races, but I like the way cars go forward down your track, not pirouetting and running backwards. And I just bought a lot full of Nascars, so I might as well break one in! Besides, D64 is done for me in October so I think I might give it a go. Gotta keep racin'...

Take care and see ya st the races!

  • Do you have a fat track? if not how do you test for it? My mom had me build her a car for this months muscle car event. But only having a straight track I don't know how it run. I followed the League of Speed weight dynamics video. Well if I fail this month at least I know what not to do when building my turtle van. — CrazyEights
  • I have Fat Track, but never assembled it. No space in my man cave. But I am going to build the car with the same methods as I usually do, but with the advice from that same LoS video as far as weight placement. Of course, I'm not fast yet, so it probably doesn't matter, but I'll give it a shot lol. — Peter_Bee
  • well we may be slow but if you knock enough cars around you still might advance. my shot to win is the turtle race. I don't see many big name builders getting in to that one. — CrazyEights
  • The Turtle race seems to be more of a novelty type race, and serious builders will probably skip it. But I'll be there, because I need all the experience I can get! — Peter_Bee

Just finished this 40 Ford coupe up in time to get it in the mail. I logged in to ask for the shipping address and I see that the race was postponed a month, and we can enter more cars. Time to put together a team and take a bit more time to dial this beast in! Looking forward to see it race.

@speedy_t  Question? Is the Mirada stocker, the 442 flatout and the Frontrunnin Fairmont eligable to race in this series?

  • Obviously, I am not the host but the Mirada and Fairmont should be cool. The 442 was raced in NASCAR but the Flat Out version is a modified style, not a stock car style. Unless you do some body work on it? — Uncle_Elvis
  • I’ll allow the them. — FPD_Racing

I've actually already been mocking up a NASCAR to try out a team livery, but I feel like the numbers on the sides should probably be bigger for an actual event, and I don't have a sponsor on the hood. :/

Maybe I can turn this into something more appropriate in time.

  • Looks good man. Send it. — FPD_Racing
  • If you don’t build and submit that one, I’ll take it. Love the car. — FPD_Racing

just picked up a dodge charger stock car.....gonna try to get there for this one!

  • Looking forward to getting it. Send it! — FPD_Racing
