Stock & Mod Race 2

There will be a stock class race as well as a modified class race that you can mail in entries for! You can enter one or both races. If you’re in, comment here and we’ll make sure you have a spot.

Here are the details:

RACE 1 - Stock Class - 40 - 49.99g

Any stock casting
•Any brand
•Must be below 49.99g or disqualified
•Any Lube
•The car itself CANNOT be opened up.
•You can add decals. 
• You can't glue anything to the car. if it detaches it needs to stay that way. if it opens it needs to stay that way.

RACE 2 - 70g Audi RS 6 Avant Modified

2023 Green Audi RS 6 Avant casting

•Must be below 70.9g or disqualified
•Any Lube
•Must be the green casting.
•You can add decals. 
• You can't glue anything to the car. All weight must be inside vehicle.
•Sanding base is allowed
•Window filling NOT allowed
•No filling body lines, must appear stock in shape
•Tubes allowed, no bearings
• Any size wheel allowed, NPA and FTE allowed

THE BUSINESS:
•$5 Entry Per Class ($10 for both races) Two entries per race per builder allowed
$10 for shipping inside the US.
•Race will be a timed event
•All cars will get one run down each lane
•Going off times the field will be cut in half after each round.
•The second lap will be used in case of a tie
•The final 2 rounds the cars will get 2 runs down each lane.
•Last one standing will be the Champ!

Cars must be at the track by Oct 20. The winner on each track will get a Trophy and prize bag!!

Rules & restrictions

• Stock and modified entries allowed
• 70.9g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 2 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Any lube

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 10/14/2023. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 10/21/2023. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Include at least $10 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Racing will be on the The Grindelwald Strip. View track profile and specs

Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it wins two races in a row. Cars will alternate lanes between each race.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
