Commentary

Street to Strip at Duke City Dragway on 6/29/2020. The 1997 Chevrolet Corvette came out on top in this 16 car heat. For the most part we had clean smooth racing with the cars flying down the track! We did have one incident we would like to follow up on... during the race between the 1965 Mustang and the 1970 Plymouth Superbird the Superbird took a turn for the worse and flew off the track creaming into what we thought was a fan on a quad... but luckily we have found out no one was on the quad, but the quad was totaled. The Superbird was able to come back for round 3 with some damage but was eliminated quickly in the next pass. Not sure if it was from the crash from the round before. The RV that the quad was sitting by also had minor damage. Again only minor injuries. All in all great racing here at Duke City Dragway. Hope to sector arc the next race!
