Summer Rally Series

The Diecast Dude Racing Summer Rally Series event is back. Registration for this event will be from June 9th, 2023 through June 22nd. All entries will get two timed laps to qualify for the 32 Car Tournament. Just as last year this event will be head to head matchups in a best of three until we are left with one King Of The Brick Mountain Rally Course.

RULES AND RESTRICTIONS

• Modified entries only. No stock cars will be permitted

• 0-99g maximum weight

• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide. ( must fit on orange hotwheels track)

• Limit 1 entry per household

• Retail axles and wheels, FTE/NPA axles allowed.

• Dry lube only NO PUTTY

• Cars that will be accepted for this event BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, Citroen C3 and C4, Citroen WRX, Lancia Delta Integrale, Lancia 037, Ford Cosworth, Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, Renault 5 GT, Mitsubishi Evolutions I - X,  Subaru WRX, Subaru STI, Subaru Imprezza, Audi S1, Audi Quattro, Mini Cooper Countryman, Toyota GT86, BMW E36, Hyundai Veloster N, Subaru BRZ, Peugeot GTi, Honda CRX, Mazda 323 GTR, Alpha Romeo, VW Polo, Honda S2000, Honda Civic Type R. These are ideas to get you started. If in doubt ask host.

• Cars MUST display a number on the doors or roof, or both. Numbers can be between 0-999. PLEASE RESPOND WITH YOUR NUMBER

• No weights can be visible. AND MUST BE CONCEALED INSIDE THE CAR. Tinted windows are allowed.

• Keep graphics clean, No offensive or hateful paint jobs will be accepted.

• If a convertible is used, car must have a driver!

DATES & DEADLINES

All entries must be received by the host before July 22nd 2023

Cars will make their qualifying lap as they are received and the results will be posted daily. Racing is scheduled to begin July 22, 2022 with the finals being after Labor Day. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

This event will have cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place podium finishers. Please include a $5 RACING ENTRY FEE with your entry. The final prize pool will be calculated once registration closes. Entries not getting returned will become part of The Diecast Dude Racing Car Club to be displayed around the track. If you would like your entry returned, you must include a prepaid (or $8) self addressed soft bubble envelope with your entry. Cars that fail to qualify will be shipped back in a prepaid bubble envelope. The entry fee will remain in the winners pot.

RACE AND SCORING FORMAT

This will be a single-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it wins two out of three races. Cars will alternate lanes between each race. Fastest qualifier will start on the pole position inside lane.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be on a time trial basis for first round. Reseeding will be for remaining rounds.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will be subject to disqualification .

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
