the beast
as it has as of late become known as........this thing is not very polite with cars. that is until we decided to go ahead and maybe try a catch can at the end, instead of them plying head on into rocks
anyway,,its 46' in length. track is attached with velcro tabs as well as strips. hand made start gate and finish box. the gate at the end is from the plastic fold up track from a couple of years ago. the best part is i got all the ideas from here, and the great folks that shared there knowledge and ideas. thanks so much for sharing folks!!!!!!!!
as a added bonus, we added 3 lights along the sides for some good old fashioned night racing,,,tis a lot of fun
please feel free to give your ideas, thoughts, critcism's, and what not. im sure there is something missing that we cant find.
thanks for looking!!

Very nice! Git 'er done!
thanks!!!!!!!!
we (my buddy and i) are going to shoot for setting it up at k days in sept. we tried at the last one,,but they wouldnt let us. so try and try again. we usually have a good turn out of kids at them,,,,,,,why not let them have fun while they're there.
so fingers crossed we get the go ahead.
That is a beast! Looks like fun. I still haven't tried my 50' roll yet...soon...very soon.
Damn, that is a true beast. That drop is awesome and looks like a car killer. Nice to know I'm not the only one rocking the segmented track either. I feel out-classed when I see folks that managed to get a roll of track, but hey, play with what toys you have And glad to hear Redline Derby helped you along the way

thanks everyone!!! we havent had hardly any issues with this style of track. a few hiccups here and there,,,but i dont mind it. next week were gonna lay longer strips of velcro on it so we can adjust for heat issues. we also added braces to the sides of the planks where they meet together to straighten out the base some more,,,,even better results.
especiall when there are excited kids running around it adn bump it, keeps everything in place.
Seriously!! I love to see what you guys are coming up with for Hot Wheels racing. I love this track, it's wicked and raw! I would think the racing would be intensely fast on this monster track with it's ultra-high death drop.
Thanks for sharing the photos! I'm hoping you're able to get the gig on k days, I mean come on why not??
That's it, I'm taking out the 50' roll and dropping off the roof!
Totally need a photo of that. Heck, get another 50-footer, connect the two and do *that* off the roof! One hundred foot track wit a 30-foot drop! LOL
The Mythbusters ain't got nothing on The Beast! Ha!
