Im pretty sure this has just turned into a spam thread at this point.

At least it turned into a "finger pointing/name calling" thread...the members of this forum are to be commended for that.

You kidding me? We've got our fingers pointed DIRECTLY at USPS and we're calling them names too!

In another thread I see that Smitty has received the FEATHERWEIGHTS! As GspeedR said above, I too am glad that this didn't turn into a "finger pointing/name calling" thread. Allz I would like to say is that the USPS did their job. It is my hope that no one will think twice before sending their cars to future mail-in tournaments.

ditto carl, i have not had problems with usps, SAO PAULO, BRAZIL... CANBERA, AUSTRALIA... SONORA, CA.,
it is up to us to be careful, print clear, securely taped labels, ask the postal worker if they see anything that might be a problem later... let's race...

Smitty, you might want to start another thread.
This one kinda' went off in another direction!

I will tell you this it the single worst experience I have had with usps.

I have been working in two towns that are about 30 miles apart and I shipped the cars from the smaller town of 4400 people. I figured it wouldn't be an issue as they have less mail to deal with. The first time was kinda f***ed up cause the counter person said nothing about the markings on the box being a problem. Understandable, but someone should have said something from the beginning. The second time the box sat in a post office (Dallas I think) due to a partially torn off label. Tracking located the box and it was recalled. On the third attempt, I raced back to College Station after work and got it across the business counter in time to get it out the door that same day. I think the $60 in shipping was a bit much I was pretty set on getting it there on Saturday. Which I still don't know if it got there at that time or not. I've had a couple of emails go unanswered, but after this mess, I guess that's to be expected.

Sorry for all the delays guys.

As for Chad's box, total oversight. I thought I had already sent it out with a couple of other boxes. totally my fault on that one.
