 FREEZIE 500: PURE FANTASY(2026/27)

Date- cars Due December 1st, racing begins as soon as possible

Overview- now in its 4th year, the Freezie 500 is a gathering of the best teams and racers in the cosmos where skill and speed are only matched by the prospect of eternal glory and sacrifice. A high speed, full contact, contest spanning 2 distinct tracks will see contestants put their builds to the test in a frantic dash to collect points in order to raise the coveted Challace of Verglasia. This series is not for the faint of heart, however the rewards for success far outweigh the risks of failure. The FREEZIE 500 has but one rule…to the Victor go the spoils…and whatever you do…Don’t…Finish…Last…

Weight- Min-55g / Max-70g

Max car size- this year, MUST FIT ORANGE TRACK. Must fit the width in a regular sized start gate.

Wheels and axels- any wheel, any axel, any colour...as long as it fits ORANGE TRACK.

Lube- any lube as long as it doesn’t drip

Build class - FANTASY builds only (please see pic for reference.)

You must post a pic of your casting for approval. Try to pick a casting that doesn’t look of this world. There are plenty of designs that will fit the theme. Customization is key as your builds will reflect your drivers home world and civilization. If you’ve entered the Freezie before, your back story and planet has already been registered. For those who wish to enter for the first time, please include your planets name, and a bio of your driver/team for introductory purposes. All teams must have custom race colouring/livery, must have a race Number (please claim in sign up) and must post a pic of their casting for approval. Remember, these are FANTASY castings. Please reference the other Freezie 500 tournaments for examples.

Entry limit - Open...no team limit

1 car/builder…however if you want to combine shipping with another team/ family member, that’s ok

Return shipping- please include $20 for return shipping should you want your car back. I do try to ensure cars get returned in a timely manner after the competition, however with the ongoing trade dispute between the USA and Canada, cars may/probably be delayed.

Format and scoring-

@PowerUp Pass: cars will be grouped after a qualifying session (best of 2 laps) where the top qualifiers will be awarded bonus points

Participant cars will then race in standard 4 grid rotation where standard scoring applies. 5points for a lap win, 3 for second, 2 for third, 1 for fourth, and 0 for a DNF.

Points collected at PowerUp Pass will carry over to the Elevation Trail and determine the seating and groupings for leg 2.

@Elevation Trail: we will run either 3 or 4 wide (depending on the number of entries received), and the scoring will be our 10 checkpoint format where a car is awarded one point for every checkpoint crossed with an extra point for the car that passes the finish line first in a race. Points accumulate through the rounds as the field is whittled down through the use of a cut line. The cut line is determined by the scores of the cars from round to round. The final race will consist of 6 laps for the top 3 drivers, where the winner will have the duty and honour of sacrificing the last place driver to the racing gods.

Penalties and repairs - if any car arrives and is in violation of the rules, that car/team will be penalized accordingly. A point deficit will be applied in proportion to the offence as decided by the Freezie500 scrutineers. Should any car arrive broken prior to racing, all attempts will be made to ensure the entry is ready for race day. However, should a car break while racing…well…let’s just hope that doesn’t happen.

Prize- to the champion…glory, fame, vehicles…and an ice block hewn from the glacial wall of the very planetary ice you race on. For the loser…they will be immortalized on the everlasting monument to the racing GODS!

This year we’ve opened up the tournament to a whole nother world…and up to 30 of you will get the chance to participate. Do you have the snowballs to take on the Freezie500? We’ll see you when the snow flies…
