funny you mention black DRAG TRACKS... when we ran the M weight finals, every car made a different noise when it ran over the one section of black track that i had in my burnout track suitcase... the rest of the track was yellow. hmmmmm

That's interesting. Are they shaped any different? Or is the plastic on the bottom lined up differently somehow?

i think it is density.... i'm going to use almost all black next race.... not better for video

Which ones are denser? Those would probably be better quality, the densest--less likely to snap.

The LeMans are here! Tomorrow and the next day will be the Four-Lane Five Foot Endurance Race and the Loop-de-Loop Track (possibly to be renamed Sinisterdog Speedway), and then the Altered FOTF Speedway on Sunday (along with Race 2 of Dueling Deliveries).

Loops!?! Yes!!! Having a lightweight car is finally going to pay off!! My indy's got this one in the bag. That Solaire is going DOWN (literally).

I'm happy long as the Sol Aire goes 'down' last...

( Loops?!? Uhoh....I had better come up with some silly protest. )

Ummm....throughout its rich 80+ year history, I don't think the '24hrs of Le Mans' ever had "loops".......

After further research, I stand corrected....

FOTF, the Sol Aire says "bring on the loops"!!

Now you mention it...I don't think my track has THAT many loops.

But, if we're all lucky, your Sol Aire will turn out just the same anyway.

The Five-Foot Endurance Race (Four-Lane Track) will happen tomorrow. I intend to base all three LeMans races on the cars' position in points standings. Can I please have a method of scoring based on position, so that I can know how to seed the successive races?
A bit more detail on the Five-Foot Endurance Race: The first round will be three sets of four cars. Race one will consist of seed numbers 1, 6, 7, & 12; race two of numbers 2, 5, 8, & 11; and race three of numbers 3, 4, 9, & 10. The three 1sts will race for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd; the three 2nd will race for 4th, 5th, and 6th; etc. Also, each race will be whatever number of times there are cars in that race. For example, Race 1 of Round 1 will take four races, so that each car can start in each lane. Whoever does the best out of the combined four will be the winner (2nd round races will only take 3 races, as they'll only have three cars.
Good luck to everyone!

Here are the results of the first round:

4th Placers:
Chikknsnot
Team HalfFast
Sloppy Jalopies

3rd Placers:
NerveHammerFTE
TasteLikeDirt
Sinisterdog

2nd Placers:
Weber Cabin
FOTF
WorpeX

1st Placers:
GSpeedR (of COURSE )
Fast Fred
DadVBall

A couple of notes: Race 3 actually had a 3-way tie between DadVBall, WorpeX, and Sinisterdog; they raced in three lanes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (whoever did the overall best out of the three tie-breaker races). DadVBall had it won in two out of those three races--the last race was essentially to decide second. Also, so far, Fast Fred's Jaguar has been the most dominant car on this track so far; out of the first three races, it won by the most points.
