The LeMans Challenge! (mail-in)
How do you keep finding these pictures?
Google.
You can find a race car version of pretty much anything. I mean hell, there is even a race car Buick Centry Wagon out there!
People with too much time on their hands...

WorpeX does have a good point
At this point, I'm leaning towards entering something like in front of a CX-4 isn't necessarily in a "good position".

The racetrack Jensen Springs..

This little weapon is designed to do the same thing....
I like your "Jensen Springs" coarse! It appears to have lots of gentle, pass inducing angles. Total length?...and how wide is the track surface?

Total length....10 ft, maybe? I'm not 100% sure.
It is two cars width, perfect for downhill passing.
Here's a video of the course.

I recommend the Panoz GTR-1 Roadster S and Ferrari 333 SP out of that bunch.
Smitty, I would avoid the open-wheelers & short wheelbase cars(eg: Chapparal 2, Lancia Stratos, & Jaguar D-Type). The rest could roll) with a bias towards the heavier metal-on-metal cars. The Lambo Diablos & the Ford GT90 could be "bruisers", although the Diablo's side mirrors tend to 'catch' on high track sidewalls.
