The Middleweight Challenge! (mail-in race series)
Good Morning Sports Fans!! Are you ready for some racin'? Tis a brisk morning here in the Nutmeg State. As dawn breaks the Track Crew will be readying the venue for today's main event, The Middleweight Challenge series. As usual, FOTF Speedway will run today's tournament using a double elimination format, with all cars eliminated in the same round racing off to see exactly where they land in the standings. Most of the track crew will be attending the 10:30 am Mass at St. Joe's located accross the road from the Speedway, (All racers are invited to attend), and after final track preps, racing should begin during the 1st Afternoon Hour. Upon completion of the main event, Team Sinisterdog and FOTF Racing will be running qualifying heats for next week's Lincoln Johnny Lightning Race Clubs 2012 finals as well as the year end events on Dec. 11 at the Rhode Island Hot Wheels Club. All race fans with paid admission are invited to watch the aformentioned qualifying heats. We wish to extend a hearty good luck to all entrants and if God's willing and the creek don't rise, the results should be posted by Mid Afternoon Easten Time.

On black Friday we handed out some free tickets to striking workers at Walmart, and they thought they were coming here to support striking track workers. Once that idea was cleared up and they heard the conditions that the track employees work under, they started trying to hold up the festivities until we hired them to work here. You just can't beat FOTF bennies. At any rate the starting grid has been announced. You have to love any racing tournament that allows a Ferrari to go up against a Dodge Caravan.

Update: What kind of a world do we live in where the Dodge Caravan beats the Ferrari in a drag race. Also, in the 2nd round of the winners bracket we'll be seeing the 2 Ford GTs racing against one another.
The 1st elimination round bye went to the #77 Dodge Charger.
The Winner's bracket bye will be going to #11 Green Diesel Boy.
The 2nd elimination round bye goes to #52 Blue Exotic Sports Car.
The 1st Loser's bracket bye goes to #96 Police Car.
The 2nd Loser's bracket bye goes to #12 GTO.
I don't think there should be byes on the loser bracket of a double elimination bracket.

Finally!! One of the Home Teams took 1st at FOTF Speedway!! Sinisterdog Racing #42 Red Austin Martin took the Gold Medal today. Full results to follow. It was not undefeated. The Dodge Caravan won the 1st Race coming out of the loser's bracket, but could not repeat the feat a 2nd time.

On a side note, When Cameron and I originally sent our 4 cars off, we included $5 to be used by the final race host to ship the cars back here to CT. When the cars arrived here for racing, the $5 was no longer with them.
As the LeMans went out, in the same day the Middleweights came in! They should be racing Sunday.
