The naming game....

been sorting through a ton of names for the rolls of track and just not really liking any of them. The one I did like was just trademarked in jan of this year. So that sucked.

Tell me what you guys think. The product is a two lane, plastic roll of track for diecast gravity racing.

The names we need to stay away from are:

Race grooves (hi Mark)
Blu Track
Drag Track
Gravity Trax ( I thought I had a winner till I checked the TM )

Let me chime in here and say that I also like "Challenge".

Maybe ChallengeTrax ?

And my wife is a copyright/trademark lawyer--so, I do not envy the "challenge" you are faced with in naming your product.

What about combining one of the taken names?

Like...
Gravity Drag Trax (or Track, Trak, Tracks, etc.)
Gravity Challenge Track
Gravity Racing

Are you trying to keep the name short, just "blank" track?

I'm sure that he will be careful especially since my track is patented.

Gravity Grooves
Racing Routes
Lightning Lanes

Yup, Mark's patent was one of the few that I found while spending hours searching patents and making sure I wasn't gettin in anyone's kool aid.

Well I have seen a bunch of really great suggestions but have ended going with a variation of one I had originally thought was unusable. I liked fast track, but shortly after decided on It, I realized it was in use in the pine wood derby world. Well after a brainstorm session with the girlfriend and a slight tweak... Not to mention a friendly little letter to the Fast track guys we finally have the name

Drum roll.........

I'm just waiting on the legal, now.

So what do you guys think?

Fastraxx is a cool name. Now tell us, what lengths will it come in?

The main focus is 50' rolls, (51' actual length) But I am looking at a possibility of adding 25' rolls.

Put me down for two rolls please!

Keep me posted on the details of the looks and the price. Also 26 actual feet would be nice for the 25 foot track. Now I'm not sure which length I would get.
