There’s a Dragon on the loose!

Well, sort of.. the DragonFire Raceway made a trek to a local toy show for some Rip n Race, Mystery Rip n Race and Open Class downhill competition on the 46’ dual-lane raceway. Before this event I made a couple changes to the track including a shorter, less steep start ramp and added a 2nd crossover just before the finish.  
Anyone could enter the three races for a small fee with the winners taking home some cool prizes. Although only a small percentage of the entries were ladies, they tore up the track as ladies hauled in all of the diecast racing wins proving that it’s not just a sport for over grown manboys. A huge congrats for the clean sweep goes to Hailey Mckinney (Mystery Rip n Race) Julie Tabacchi (Open Class) and Melissa Hupp ($2 Rip n Race). For their efforts Haily took home a hard-to-find dual-lane track kit featuring 3ft long orange track pieces. Melissa won her choice from 16 exclusive customs & selected a CS Customs Camaro while Julie pocketed a little spending cash for her Open Class win. Chris from Drift_or_DIEcast_Racing was in attendance so several of us were able to hand deliver our cars for his upcoming “Fast Bash #1” Tournament. It'll be interesting to see how the same cars perform on a road course vs straight track. 

We’re happy the unique DragonFire Raceway exposed the hobby to many of those in attendance and we’re hoping we gained a few more enthusiasts. A few pics are attached.
