Insider tips for a given track are so important to performance. The track looks great and I'm putting Shivano on my 'must race' list!!

Thanks for the advice!  One question though - I'm having trouble finding replacement axles/wheels/tires where the tires are rubber - Are plastic wheels/tires better than rubber on your track?

  • Yes, rubber tires are always bad. — JBlotner42
  • There is a very simple rule, rubber wheels are for show, plastic wheels are for go. — AbbyNormal
  • Bottom line is if these were slot cars or RC cars with motors and torque then you would certainly want nice rubber tires so you can get that power onto the track. This is all gravity based racing and the goal ultimately is to reduce friction in every place you possibly can. So in this case you need to ditch the rubber wheels in favor of hard plastic wheels. — AbbyNormal

Thanks for the info. I'll hold your beer anytime.

Useful! Especially hearing about the tucked wheels (pros and cons thereof)

I'm glad this topic was bumped up before I started work on anything for Braggin Wagon 2, as all of this information would have passed me by otherwise.
