*UPDATED 3/20/24*  Alright everyone, I've got about 36 "entries" so far.  Most "entries" consists of two castings which pushes our total cars so far to around 60-70.   People just seeing this for the first time, you're STILL more than welcome to send 1 or 2 entries, but it could be a bit of a wait.

First of all, Welcome to the NEW Bay City Speedway!! I wanted to run an ongoing tournament that would give everyone an equal chance to race at Bay City, while still holding specific themed and sponsored tournaments throughout the year as well.

Welcome to "Top 3 Turvy"!! After the initial "Top 3" are established (see video breakdown description below), 4 new drivers will race each week to attempt to become one of the "Top 3".

This will be an IN ORDER OF RECEIPT tournament. Builders may send TWO cars at a time, but MUST designate which casting is to run first. After castings are ran at least once, it will go to the back of the RECEIVED line, or sent home (builders choice). If builder sends two castings, the second casting goes to the back of the originally received line (minimum 16 places).

First couple video breakdown will go as follows:

VIDEO 1 - Unboxing video - Start with first 16 castings received in order to establish 4 groups of 4.

VIDEO 2 - Race 2 groups 4 laps each, keeping the highest point total ONLY each race.  6 castings sent home or back of received line.

VIDEO 3 - Race remaining 2 groups of 4, keeping highest point total ONLY each race. Introduce final four castings to race 4 laps for "Top 3", LOWEST point total eliminated.  7 castings sent home or back of received line.

VIDEO 4 to END - Introduce next 4 received in order competitors/castings. Race new castings 4 laps, highest point total advances to take on the "Top 3", 4 laps, lowest point total eliminated. 4 castings sent home or back of received line.

There will be a 6 week maximum in the "Top 3". Should a casting remain in the "Top 3" 6 straight weeks, it will be removed and held with others that also won 6 straight for a year end tournament.

No limit to how many times your casting can go through, however I have the discretion of pulling any vehicles I don't feel will be competitive enough any longer.

Race format and scoring

This will be an ongoing tournament. If your castings have been eliminated, please feel free to send more. Bay City scoring will use the 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 format.

Keep in mind roughly 25% of this track is dual laned, and a portion is slightly uphill, so please build accordingly.

There will be a $8 entry fee per box received. This will be used for return shipping and year end tournament prize fund. Please contact track host PRIOR to sending casting for Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle payments only. Cash accepted if only method of payment available.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify to race. Also, if your car cannot complete the course, it will be eliminated. Eliminated castings will immediately be replaced with second casting if available.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will attempted to be repaired by track owner with builders permission.
