Okay...so why does this all look a little screwy? Well, it's one of those things you don't notice until you're all done. Here's where I confused myself and made things confusing for everyone else...but it all comes out in the end

The problem is that I skipped races where a person raced themselves (except for Carl). So in the case of TLD coming in 2nd, I didn't race his truck vs van to determine 2nd because he had it wrapped up either way. And basically I did this all through the loser's brackets too, so that's why a few places appear to be skipped but they really weren't. As you can tell, I kind of suck at organizing brackets (which is why I made a computer program to do it for me in the game!). But practice makes perfect, right?

And therein lies one of the faults with the mail-in racing calendar I created...it lends itself to having to do weird things like this to make sure results are per person (and only once) and not just points per position. I apologize for any confusion but even with a few hiccups in my own organization, the races were awesome and spectacular to watch. These were some *heavy* trucks that at one point blew my track up! Make sure you check out the live blog for photos from the day.

Congratulations to EconoCarl on his big Truck-O-Rama win! He'll be getting the two car prize pack sent back to him along with his big yellow truck and Ford pickup. I taped together McJiggles' broken trucks so they could make the cut and I had to add on of my own custom vans to the pool to fill in the one empty slot. There were no injuries during the tournament at all despite these beasts flying all over the place. My finish line took a beating, that's for sure!

Trucks will be returned as soon as I can but it could be a couple of weekends before they all get out. If you need your truck(s) back sooner than later for another race, please PM me and let me know so I can put you at the top of the list for drop offs.

Primary bracket
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Secondary bracket, 3rd - 6th
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Tertiary bracket, 7th - Last
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Since the mail-in calendar only accepts results per person and only the highest position, the results there will appear as such:
1st - EconoCarl
2nd - TLD
3rd - Voxxer
4th - McJiggles
5th - Smitty
6th - Nightstalker
7th - Jobe
8th - Worpex
9th - Redline Derby
10th - GSR

So I'm sorry for what appears to be a mess of a bracket. This was really my first mail-in hosted tournament that wasn't part of a series so I learned a lot about what NOT to do next time. Big lesson is I need to document all the cars much more carefully as they arrive and also race per car - not per person. Maybe 1st place is all we really need? Like Ricky Bobby said, if you're not first, you're last! If it's all or nothing and only the winner gets the prize anyway, just knowing where you car landed in the final results is good enough.

Well shit. So I just went to post the results on the mail-in calendar and it blew up in my face...errors all over the place. Sooooo...pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Yet one more reason the mail-in calendar needs to go back to the drawing board. I'll give myself an "A" for effort, but a "F" on execution. I am ashamed.

got home late... didn't notice the hick-ups... thanks B. ...middle of the pack for the sloppies... fair enough.

Thanks for runnin' them Brian!

Always a bridesmaid I am. My green Dodge truck was built for one of the Featherweight races earlier this year. All I did was add weight in the bed and sent it in as an alternate with no testing. Shocked and happy to see it do so well. Also shocked and amazed the Ambulance didn't win the whole thing. Curse you EconoCarl!

I'm getting far too used to this back of the pack thing. Oh well! Grats EconoCarl and thanks for running 'em Brian! I'm still proud that the fatness of mine and smittys trucks broke your track!

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Anybody know how much Carls trucks weigh? Nice to see the winner not wearing FTE's. I think that advantage goes away when you start adding a lot of weight.

The Worpex and Smitty trucks got to the end of the track and smacked into the finish gate - kerboom! Trucks unphased...track pulled right out of the connectors. Smittys big truck was very top heavy and had some serious wobble at the transition, probably bumped into the Worpex Express.
