Unedited Blu Track Random Junk Car Test

This is the test I was asked to make. There were a couple bad spots where cars wreck down near the finishline. This is because where the 18ft track was connected to the 7ft expansion had a wall bump that they hit sometimes. I will fix this. The red vehicle that did not make it down the track was the HW frontloader with big knobby tires. The track seemed noisy on the video but did not seem so in person. The final shot shows where the ramp is connected to the support. I used bolts with wing nuts to make it removable and drilled matching holes in the support every 6 inches so I can adjust it to any height. I was gonna make this an impromptu 8 car mini tournament but lost rack of where I was since I didn't have a bracket..........

Here it is...

Hey Buddy, that's good racing video...and the cars were really moving down the track...very nice. So the only problem you have had the with track is that one joint causing wrecks? If thats the only issue...Blu Track might just be in my future! Thanks for sharing this...great stuff.

what track are you transferring to ? ... steel clamps /slots [later "crushed" with vise-grips onto the blue track's edges ] are welded on one end of a steel plate, with hot wheels track retainers [washers] welded on the other end ?

...
optional holes are for 6-32 countersunk screws, if you need more hold down in the center of the blue track lanes...
send me a 1/2" bisection of blue track for measurements, i'll make you a steel union....what we Smiths do !

Well I fixed my track simply by "sharpening" the center divider, so no right angle corner stuck into a lane. Tests got no crashes in twenty tries with a variety of vehicles.....

On it's way.....Stroller

I got stuck watching the box next to the track...like a ghost...

It seemed that on a few races the cars released at different times? That gold rig played catch up a few times? maybe it was just the video compression?

No the release was sticking. I have fixed that. Also the gold semi's back wheels hung over the end of the track and he got held up for a bit.... ... I'm not running big rigs normally any ways....

thinkin' [4] adjustable short clamps instead of [2] long ones in case the track's ends are not perfectly even...

When you saw cars cross the center line or leave the track, it may have been because people were running cars too fast. The blu track comes with a suction cup that allows you to run the track from a window or side of a refrigerator up high at an almost vertical drop. I have not tried this but I think at excessive speed a car would have a good chance of bouncing and when cars start bouncing then they could bounce off the track. Just a thought.......
