Video: Stroller's doubleback track, relay racing

Stroller Saturday, 8/22/2015

Here is how my newest track looks.  Please ignore the mess.

It works real well and none of my cars were damaged in the testing phase,  ..........Stroller

Close up of transition ramp in action..

The track on the ramp is held in by 1 inch washers over smaller washers to allow for the track connector slot thickness and thumb tacks.  The lower wooden ramp support has to be cut in such a way as to make the ramp perfectly level. Racing coming soon.........Individual racing plus team racing I think.

Man, That Is cool! Such a simple concept, VERY well executed. I like the use of the CPVC pipe. I was a plumber for 15 years. I used that stuff for all sorts of things!!

NICE LOOKING AND FUNCTIONAL TRACK!!

THANKS for sharing!!

Ha, great video and awesome setup - science in action, right there! This would be a great unit for elementary physics class too.

Certainly a great start on a nifty concept that I can see for future tournaments...basically a relay race.

I can't wait to see this evolve as you figure out more and how to make more efficient. My only concern seeing the video is the impact of the cars and the PVC on the first leg. Seems like a "brittle" car could get beat up when it makes that hit...dunno...??

Well I did work on the  "possible damage" problem with this track.  I shortened the triggers on the first leg by 2 inches and replaced that part with a strip of 1/2 inch  x 2 inch plastic canvas.  Now when he cars hit this there is no clacking sound from he impact.  In fact there is no noise and the relay goes just as smoothly as before........I think it solves that problem.....Stroller.
