As things progress I will update the progress on my garage and when completed it will serve as my photo backdrop for all my projects. Good So Far, As For My Project, I Need A Big Space for Building a New Track.

Looks like fun - maybe there is space out behind the garage for a small dirt track. You know where they test their race cars. Or a diorama drag strip --- hmmmmm
- Hey Abby, that is a good idea but I already have a big, overly grandiose idea for a track after this diorama gets set up. Details to come in the (not so near) future! The rest of the diorama space is already spoken for. Showcasing a few iconic locales from St. Petersburg (at least those that my limited artistic skills will allow). The trees on the right side will be "Sunken Gardens" and I will have Biff Burger on the left, a wonderful hamburger joint from back in the day. Craigster will know... — Sunshine_City_Garage
That's a great start Jim!... Can't wait to see the progress and the final results... The background mural paint looks awesome, just like a Florida beach scene... Lookin' Good Brother!
- Thanks a lot Craigster! I was trying to make it look like the garage is downtown with Tampa Bay in the background. I channeled my inner "Bob Ross" for the trees on the right! I have a few ideas I'd like to run past you today about the diorama. — Sunshine_City_Garage

This is such a cool idea! Have fun with it, and I will look upon your postings in the future to see how it comes along. Great job putting the sign up and making it look like a construction site. I love it.
Sorry for such a long delay between posts, but work is progressing on clearing the land for the garage.

Suggestion, since you're a model builder: create a scene where the figures and trucks are actually BUILDING the model.
-Have workers unrolling a roll of grass.
-Other workers can be using paint sprayers with the hoses hooked to actual jars of model paint, like the Testors or Tamiya paints. Just fab up a fitting and glue it to the cap.
-You know how the laser-cut houses are, with everything pre-cut on those flimsy little wood sheets? Have a towtruck hooked to one of the pieces, like it's pulling the sidewall of the house off the precut sheet. Build like half the house, and leave the empty sheets in a pile nearby, or even leaning up against the backdrop. You could use a small crane to lift the precut pieces into place.
-Making mountains? Have a road crew with jackhammers chipping away chunks of styrofoam to create the mountains.
-Cement truck delivering rubber cement.
-Work crew using axes and chainsaws to cut pieces off plastic sprues.
-Forklift carrying parts to be painted or set in place.
-Work crews painting trees, rocks, etc. Make some "finished" products, and others "raw and unfinished."
-If you have a backdrop--say a blue sky with clouds--have a work crew on a window washer rig dangling from the top of the backdrop, painting in the sky and clouds with roller brushes.
It's silly, yes, but fun!
