Race format and scoring

4-car group, single elimination tournament.
All cars will run a single qualifying lap on each of two lanes, best single time counts. Top 64 times qualify for the tournament (may be expanded based on interest).
Each stage, 4-car groups will run 4 laps. The Lap 1 starting grid is based on qualifying time. Laps 2-4 are based on the previous lap's finish order.

Cars will accrue points each lap:
1st = 4pts
2nd = 3pts
3rd = 2pts
4th =1pt
DNF = 0pts

Points do not carry over from stage to stage.

Double DNF during qualifying automatically disqualifies a car.
Cars that break during shipment or racing will not be repaired or raced (unless it's minor cosmetic damage).

Prizes

Home-made trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Infinite glory on YouTube & Facebook.

I'm always down to support a library! I'll send 4 cars please.

Awesome idea! Got a few friends interested in the sport so I'll get as many cars as I can, without asking anyone yet I already have 4 to send.

I'll send in some cars! I am a rookie driver so this is going to be fun!

Please note, the library has asked me to collect the cars myself, so please send here:

Great to see a fellow Hoosier in the Dicast racing game. Can you come and bring cars to the race or do you have to send them in. Im only about 45mins from Westfield in Frankton,In.

  • Feel free to drop them off if you'd like, though the race(s) won't be live. I'll start recording them after independence day. — IndianaDiecastRacing

George, I received your cars today.  Thanks for participating!

Less than 3 weeks to submit cars!

Since I'm going to be out of town the first week of July, I'll continue accepting cars until July 5th.

Unable to send a car for the tournament?  You can still enter by sponsoring one of the pictured cars (straight off the peg) for a $5 donation to the library!  Time is running out, but I'll continue to take entries in this manner until Wednesday!
