I personally don't get into #'s or colors, as my mindset for diecast is more every day street racing scenario, as a Challenger could roll up to a stoplight and a Subaru WRX could roll up beside it and feel froggy. The Minds Eye set's the scene for me.

Black and gold for me and sometimes silver and burgundy. I picked these colors because this is the color of the uniforms when I played football in high school.

i am not a painter in anyway, shape, or form, so i go with the polished zamac look i feel the blinding beauty of the metal definitely draws attention and stands out, i might add sticker numbers or a decal from time to timefor example my gasser that got lost in the mail on its way to a race, at least i still have this one picture to remember it by

I always do black with 3 big green stripes. Makes it easy for me to spot in a race...which is usually last hahaha. Been doing better lately though! Last race I had speed but was loose in turns.

Not set in stone and there are some outliers... but you should know by now

I'm thinking about just painting/decaling the bottom chassis... seems lately that is what is most often visible during/after a race...

  • Don’t forget to wax the roof too. — AbbyNormal
  • funny you say that... my crusty car I sent in for the El Camino Beano had flock on the hood and roof to simulate moss... going down the scrambler it flipped over and stopped almost instantly... cost me the race! Next time, full wax all aroundM — Stoopid_Fish_Racing
  • I was very careful not to push you down the scrambler... Didn't want to rub all that moss off ;) — ManiacMotorsports

I've got the old AT&SF Warbonnet colors - red and silver.

For awhile I wanted to have lime and lavender be my go-to colors, since they would be highly unlikely to be confused with other cars.  However, I personally just get bored with the idea of having one paint scheme, though it is neat to be able to pick out someone's car even before the announcer says who it is.  I do go on runs of certain schemes sometimes, like gold/red, navy/orange, or yellow/white/green.

Generally I favor bright colors so I can spot my car easier and for my waterslides to show nicer.
