What topics do you want to see more of on RLD?

We all know that Redline Derby Racing is a great place to find racing events of all types...

...but what would you like to see more of otherwise?

When RLD was going through its first phase of growth, we had a lot of articles about modding, track building, collecting, insights, tutorials, and so on. It was all great content (still is) and is available for everyone to enjoy and learn from.

It's easy to fall back on that classic content but I want to bring in more new content, whether than be stuff I write or ask people to write or whatever. Things change...we all learn and there's certainly more to share as time goes on. But what topics do you want more of?

I'm just looking for thoughts and opinions overall. There's no right or wrong here, please share what comes to your mind.

  • More master class articles?
  • More beginner tutorials
  • Interviews with people?
  • Product reviews
  • Photo/video management, techniques
  • Collecting cars
  • Track tours and profiles
  • Non-Hot Wheels topics
  • What do you want to learn that you think will make your racing better?

That's just a few...the list is pretty endless, honestly. That doesn't mean every idea will get covered but I want to get back to steering the ship and this is best way to start.

Discussion

What makes us tick....why do we have the love for these little cars and why do we love to race after all these years. I guess info in a autobiographical sense would be cool to glean through. I've just turned 50 and still love the hobby, the competition and the camaraderie I find here at RLD.

I've been on this site for awhile and I have thoroughly enjoyed all facets. I enjoy all of the creativity that is displayed and shared. The camaraderie is nice to see. You do not always see that in life or in hobbies.

I like to watch the videos of past races and I eventually read every post on every topic. I enjoy collecting and racing stock castings. I would make everything a gasser car if I could but quite frankly I suck at modding. I can't make a fast car for anything. I have destroyed about 50 nice cars trying to mod and race them. I always bend the axles no matter how careful I am. The drill always jumps off and ruins the plastic, so I just gave up. I have tried about 12 different drill bit sizes but I just don't have what it takes. I guess I lack the patience for it as well. That's why I never entered a race or sent a car in plus I never have the right casting for the race anyway. I'll continue to watch, read and enjoy from afar.

I bought a six lane track over the holidays on sale and it is temporarily set up. I did a few wheel swaps this week but only for looks, maybe I'll post a pic of them. Keep up the good work and I'll keep cheering from the sidelines.
