What’s up, doc?

AbbyNormal Sunday, 8/3/2025

Races around here normally fill up fairly fast. Of course its summer and everyone is busy with outdoor activities and such. But I am curious at the somewhat light interest shown so far for the pink slip racing event at Elevation diecast in October. It is indeed some fairly radial racing - there is the slim possibility of 'winning a car' and the certain reality that you will loose your car(s). Sounds like it could be a high-stakes hoot.

I suck at drag racing but my plan is to enter two race ready modified premiums as shown below. A 370Z and a Hellcat. When I loose a race the winner will get a nice premium - I even plan to use E6000 to glue the axels in so they can be easily removed by the new owner. What could go wrong?

  • Hey Doc, sorry for the confusion, but it does relate to my overall post which is like what’s up regarding the pink slips. And yeah, it is definitely not an inexpensive event event to partake in. While I have entered a couple of drag races through here I am not a fan of the sport in any measure. That being said I'm not going to enter any others going forward. I like road courses,  the longer the better.

  • I'm also a road course person, mainly because of the action, and the fact that I can't build cars fast enough to compete at drag races lol — ManiacMotorsports
  • at the risk of getting a car smashed with a hammer, drag racing is ..... — dr_dodge
  • Now, now, Doc--that was a specific challenge aimed at a specific racer who knew he had bitten off more than he could chew, but couldn't keep his mouth shut .... That's not normally the way I roll. — SpyDude
  • I totally hear you, my friend I too am here for the road racing and specifically open track road racing. And even though my experience with drag racing is largely one and done. I still enter into events here and there just to keep my toe in the water. And then when elevation racing announced this pink slip deal I could not resist sending a couple cars in putting it all on the line. Most likely like experience will go from one and done to one and gone. — AbbyNormal
  • that was not the event I was talking about something a bit 2 fast — dr_dodge
