Yat Ming vans?
From pictures I've seen online, I love the look of the old Yat Ming vans. Crazy murals that are just a bit off. Anybody have any of the old vehicles made by that company? I'm wondering how they are in terms of actual construction.
Discussion
As far as actual construction, there isn't much actual material to them they are very light, and the rivets are 1/2 that of a HW. the scale is more like 1/70ish, so wheel swap is tricky size wise, but not impossible. The plastics are easily broken, and probably tender from age.
But, I agree with you. The ( Native country) had an idea of what an American Vanner was looking for, but never really "Nailed it"...
I like them too, but the quality was never the best.
So is "Yat Ming" a style of van, art style, the manufacturer or something else?
- 70's Cina based Diecast company. their castings were " similar" to what they claim it to be. lol — CrzyTrkrDude
- ( China). they would be better to just say " Yatming Van" " Yatming Car"... etc. lol — CrzyTrkrDude
My favorite ones have the elaborate murals, but the text-heavy ones are pretty funny.
"What do we call this delightful van?"
"How about Delightful Van?"
