The Devil's Backbone Raceway is based loosely on the back roads west of Fort Collins and Loveland Colorado. The name the Devil's Backbone comes from the geological rock feature west of Loveland. The scenery is based on landmarks primarily in Loveland d but also Fort Collins.

These features and landmarks include:
Horsetooth Mountain
Horsetooth Rock
Horsetooth Reservoir
South Shore Campground and Swim Beach
Big Thompson River
Redstone Canyon
Hunter Valley
The Devil's Backbone
The Keyhole
Lake Loveland
and more to be revealed in March 2021!

the Diecast track is made primarily out of Crash Racers track, but also Hot Wheels Straight Track and Slanman Customs pieces.

the starting gate is a 2 car wide Slanman Customs start gate and the finish line and time are also Slanman Customs.

All track diorama design and scenery are by John Hunter.
