Switchback Mount was inspired by the Hot Wheels 180° curves that reminded me of the twisting banked turns of my favorite Winter Olympic sport...Bobsledding.

The course is 6' tall and 85' long, the start is a three foot 40° drop from a 3DBotMaker 2 lane start gate into a 12' run at a slight slope to a 90° turn. The lanes crossover before going into another 90° turn to a 10' run where the degree slope starts to increase. Both of the inside 90° turns had to be modified to equalize the course. The remaining 60' of the course increases in degree of slope and is where fast cars start to really build speed. It consists of four 180° turns that crossover each turn with a final 9' flat run into the finish, timed with Slot Dragon timer.

So far, about 50% of the cars sent down the course will not complete the course as they are to slow, too tall or have too low/long of a front end. Fast cars will complete the course in under 10 seconds!
