24 Hours of the Cabin - Charity Event

Morning People,

Things are moving along with the Cabin Raceway and the entire track should be here soon.

Now, it is going to take me while to get all the scenery, buildings and back-drops I want in place but I did have a goal that I wanted to host the 24 Hours of the Cabin. It is a charity event I have hosted in the past (used to be with Scalextric) where I race cars over the same period of Le Mans, my favourite race, and in my humble opinion thee greatest race in the world.

I still plan on getting the track up quickly to host it for this year, be it there will still be scenery construction going on, there was a consideration to wait a year but I wanted to host it this year.

The charity I will hosting for is Race Against Dementia, founded by Sir Jackie Stewart, and later down the line there will be a Just Giving page as I do every year.

But, more importantly what cars will be entered. Well, at the moment the plan is the have 24 cars (with it being 24 hours), but there is scope to increase this to 32 if I want to. I have devised a staggered points matrix with cars split into groups of 4, fastest to slowest or more points to lowest point (all will be explained more down the line). Six groups of four with each group race posted on the hour.

At the moment I have Majorette cars provisionally entered and then there are Majorette cars I am currently watching to purchse to add to my garage - you will notice a distinct lack of Ferrari's, this is a licensing thing but there is a possibility I can get my hands on an old Majorette Ferrari F40, to be continued.

There were a couple of cars I wanted to enter, such as my Chevrolet Camaro but I don't think I will be able to swap the rubber wheels out in time for this, a project to be done later.

I am also aware there are quite a few Nissan's entered, so again this could change with new cars being bought. I just want to thank Majorette and Slanman Customs for their support and assistance over the last couple of months.
