A different track support?

Among my various things at the house, I have a 54 passenger school bus,

with 250' of 3 lane HO train track in an 18" shelf,

just above the window tops, around the whole thing.

To support the inside edge, I took used (free) curved garage door tracks,

and welded them together.  L brackets hold it to the bus.  It was flexy enough we were able to level nicely.

and plastic sign material (old election signs from the county recycle center)
(3 layers) on top, hot glued together.

I wonder if the same thing would work to support a raceway,

The cool thing is, most garage door places will give, or sell that for scrap price.

(the ends of my shop are scrap panels screwed together, too. cheap siding...lol)

Guess I need to get some door tracks
