Anyone else get this sometimes? RLD not loading
Don't know why, but I find that I get less of it if I use the search bar to enter "redlinederby" then click on the site in the search results compared to if I just click on the icon in my frequently visited.

9/17 @ 8p - I replaced the image server with a different version. Even with the resized images, I have a strong hunch that the image server was causing errors and bombing, so I made a new (well, AI did) and I'm giving that a shot in selective places throughout the site.
So far so good and if it's doing it's job, you should see no different in any of the images or anything...hopefully the only difference you see is less of that damned parking page! Crossing fingers...

9/19, 130p - I turned the site back on full steam so things *should* be working as usual. This does NOT mean the parking page problem is solved...hopefully it is, but only time will tell. We kinda did a "reboot" of the site but who knows. Please shout if you still get the dreaded spam page and when.
It might also help if you cleared your browser's cache, if you're privy to doing that. If not, no biggie. In the chance that some older version of RLD pages stayed on your computer, this will help.
We're not out of the woods yet but I'm hopeful and I'm still figuring out a plan of attack should things not be any better. But I really need to just let it sit and have the public hit things to see what breaks, if anything.

- Can you remember doing anything recently to your site that might have led to this? New software, updates, provider, host settings? Or, did the domain server where it is being housed, did it get upgraded recently or change in software? Just shooting at straws that I am sure you have been trying to figure out. - @RacerGnome - No changes from me, that's the frustrating thing. Have no idea on their side, they don't even know...it's shared hosting so who knows. They're not very proactive in anything they do. — redlinederby
Got that blue page when i logged in 5 mins ago. Went back, logged in again and got the proper site, so still intermittent.
3 more times just now. Logged in fine, but went to look at a new forum entry and kept getting the blue page
Doing some more debugging and eliminating. Can folks hit this URL and tell me if you get the spam page of death. Hit it a few times or refresh it or whatever...I'm expecting, and hoping, that the spam page appears.
There is zero happening on that page. You should just see a "nothing to see here" message if it loads. For me, it on/off with the spam page, so not really any different behavior that the normal RLD site. However, since it's a do-nothing set of pages, it tells me that the problem does NOT lie in any of the code that the main website it built on top of. It tells me that the problem is at some higher domain level beyond my control, like the DNS or something higher in their system.

- OK, I hit the test link above 3 times on my phone, then went back to the previous page, clicked on another forum topic and got the bad page. Was immediately able to go back to the forum menu hitting the back button, came here and hit the test page again and got the bad page. — Sunshine_City_Garage
- Did the same basic idea on my laptop and everything was fine, no bad page at all. Also when I did it on my phone when everything was fine I went immediately to the page, but when I got the bad page there was a lag both times. 9/22/25 I am getting blue page on my mobile phone and on my desktop I am trying to post race results and it will not let me.
Whew...literally thousands of images have been resized to be much, much smaller and hopefully will help the website cope better. As mentioned, I don't know if this is the actual cause of the parking page problem or not...I hope but not real sure. Nonetheless, please add a reply or comment if/when you see the "Popular categories" link page show up.
I'm still analyzing the site as a whole and trying to figure out how to go about rebuilding some things. I've turned off sections of the site to try and reduce that burden but the core forum, calendar, and standings should all be operational.
Should that link farm page continue to appear I hope it's at least less frequent than it was last week, and know I'm doing what I can to fight it. It may be something we just have to suffer through while I try to get things rebuilt.
