Baja Bone Shaker
In our adventures yesterday in Pigeon Forge, TN my son picked up a Baja Bone Shaker. I let him grab a lot of cars that didn't interest me at all and this was one of them. We just came in from the shop and this is what he came up with. Chopped the front end off. Cut the rivet post to lower it to a donor chassis of unknown origin. Took some wheels off of another donor car and grabbed a motor from the motor pile. I didn't see any hope for this but he put together a decent looking car. Need to strip some paint and do some fine tuning before putting it together for good but its not bad looking now.

Good idea on the wheels. Blue would look much better. I'm not in love with the motor either. He picked that one out. Might look better with pipes cut sticking straight up.

He took a blue Sharpie to the wheels last night. Picture doesn't really show it but it gave them a purplish color in the right light. They really just look black most of the time. Originally he was going to strip it and paint it but decided he liked the tampos on it so he touched up the grind marks with the Sharpie and he decided to go with this motor. I used JB Weld and attached the wheels last night. Tonight after ball practice, I am going to grind the rear post so that the body sits a little better and will attach the motor and the body and she should be done.

Smitty, I would absolutely love a Boneshaker series! Especially since the Shaker is my all-time favorite HW original design....
