Battle Of The NASCAR Stars (Series Start May 26)

So, I have this really nice looking Monte Carlo Concept car I was going to use for the after '72 year, and it dawned on me that I didn't know how much it weighed. Scale at work says 60 grams. So back to square one and finding a new casting.

Drill some "speed holes", might even whistle down the track....

Track host are these dates looking good? ANy problems for any of y'all?

JDC442 (Washington) will host June 2
Everling Authentic Performance will host June 9 (Not July)
McJiggles will host a race June 16 (June)
Nightstalker June 23 will host
DADVBALL June 30 will host a race.

I won't give up Smitty, gonna keep trying and trying. I have a ton of fun selecting and building them for the different series.
I learn a little more each time and imagine I will continue to learn for a very long time still. Theres always something new to learn or try. One thing I think I am going to do when I test them is do 3 or 4 different track setups instead of just the one I have been doing. I'm going to give posting some pics a try in this series also, like you, I really enjoy being able to see all the different builds people do.

If you don't get any more than what is here I can give it a try, I have different track setups I can use. If I get the photo posting down fairly well I can give it a try. I will let you know for positive before this series starts.

A little help please.
Could someone direct me to a list of pre-1970's NASCAR models. I've been looking online and am struggling to match many Hot Wheels castings to this time period.

There are a few examples on page 1 of this thread, including a pic that you posted.
Also, I've googled different years of NASCAR cars, such as a search for "1970 NASCAR cars".
Not all are correct but you get an idea of what to look for.

Yes, Like Carl says. It might be easier to Google photos of "71 NASCAR", "69 NASCAR", ect and look for cars that you recognize as Hot Wheels.
