I didn't clarify this in the rules so I'm posting it for discussion. Do the castings in normal mail in events have to be a Hot Wheels casting? Could you run an old racing champions car?

WOW! I'm gone for a day and look what happens!

TeamHalfFast would like to enter cars #1 and #11.

Do the castings in normal mail in events have to be a Hot Wheels casting? Could you run an old racing champions car?

I don't see why it would matter as long as a car was built within the spirit of the rules.

In past races people have entered the random Matchbox or Johnny Lightning. People who want to go fast usually stick with the Hot Wheels.

I have some old NASCAR Racing Champion cars in a box somewhere. They look good that's for sure. I'm gonna dig them out and see if one could be made to go fast.

That's kinda what I thought I had seen. I have a huge rubber maid tub full of in the package Racing Champions. I found a few I had opened and played with. My modern entry will be a 1990 Racing Champions Derricke Cope Chevrolet Lumina that will be redone as a Dale Earnhardt #3. Hopefully I can find some FTE's or FTE2's that will fit it.

Stroller, what numbers you want?

A link for inspiration http://www.lionelnascarcollectables.com ... R-CLASSICS
And more http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2012 ... bute-cars/

My wife says 47 and 51 they are not sequential. If they have to be sequential then 76 77

I have an idea to float out there.

With out rc scale rock crawlers we have scale points. Someone who builds an ultra realistic rig gets bonus points for realism. What if we all posted pics of our cars and voted for the best looking, most realistic representation of a NASCAR stock car. A best of show if you will. We could award points to the top three and those points would be added to the overall team points. First = 3 points, second = 2, and third gets 1 point. That way if someone skipped adding weight to keep the interior they would be rewarded. I think the effect on the race results would be minimal but it would encourage creativity. We could line them up 2x2 by class and put a pace care in front and get a really cool picture.

What do you guys think? I want to see someone build a full roll cage and put a driver figure in one.

That would look so cool! Love creatively done Hot Wheels pictures.

I found this site out on the net it has unusual cars that were in Nascar. Enjoy.
