Hey, I totally stand corrected. 1970 was the last year the Ford teams got factory support. Torinos and Cyclones did indeed race later. Glad I learned something new today. They have provided pics of your model racing so it's legal! Race it. I wasn't trying to be a stickler for the rules just wanting to make it fair for everyone. Thanks for educating me. Glad to see the interests in this event. Very cool entries so far.

Too bad some Camaros weigh too much--but are they acceptable, if they're within the weight limit?

To the best of my knowledge Camaros have not run in the top tier of NASCAR. They have always ran larger rear wheel drive sedans until recently when everything went to fwd. Camaros started running in the Nationwide series this year.

The Pontiac is back!!! found some clay had squished into a fenderwell. A little scraping out and it beat the Lumina by a fender, 3 outta 5. I'm gonna ship the Lumina alomg with my official entries in case someone needs a 71 or newer entry. So The 66 Ford Galaxie Number 121 Is Over Weight Stock. It's A Very Nice Looking Car So I Don't Want To Be Shaving Weight Off Of It In Case I Mess Up So I'm Going To Just Keep It The Way It It's Cause It's AN Actual Replica And Just Turn My Super Bird Into My Nascar Entry.

I thought a Camaro had run in races and I did a little research. Interesting read as Tiny Lund won with a Camaro, but there was some controversey behind it.

Along with his back-to-back Grand American championships in 1970 and 1971, Lund "won" two Grand National events in 1971 – the Buddy Shuman 100 at Hickory Motor Speedway, and the Wilkes 400 at North Wilkesboro Speedway driving a Camaro Grand American car for Ronnie Hopkins. As the number of entrants for the fields were low, NASCAR allowed Grand American cars to fill out the remaining spots on the grid. Lund controlled the event at Hickory before falling into a win when Richard Petty had problems at North Wilkesboro. Neither of these victories were added to Lund's official win tally, as the legitimacy of whether or not Lund should have been considered a Grand National competitor in these events has been questioned. NASCAR had dictated that if a Grand American car won it would not be credited with the victory; first place points would not be awarded. Despite this, the wins were counted as constructors victories for Chevrolet and starts for Lund.
