The mailing deadline is close, this weekend. I do not know exactly about the Nascar either. I'ts not up to just me if you use it as your birthcar, it's up to everyone involved. So, if no one else objects to the 98 Nascar then we will race it for your born year.
Personally I would have went with a 97 ford f-150 for your born. As long as the Nascar is not a fantasy type and all feel ok, then enter it as your birth car.
Favorites, well, I have many fav real world cars, as probably others do. The Audi and Ford are real world cars, as long as it isn't some fantasy type one it can be entered as a favorite, it just has to exist in the real world. As far as the "can it be fast", that is up to the person entering the car, I'm sure we all hope are birth car and fav car are going to actually be fast.

Maybe I would've gone with a Ford F-Series, too; however, the two in the top 64 are not only too heavy, but also might not be 1996, 7, or 8. I have a nice MBX, but it's not nearly as fast as the NASCAR (on our track). Would there be a problem if the Ford was number 3, and the NASCAR was either 44 or 98? Only because the Ford's already been numbered 3, and the NASCAR has 43s originally on it. It's fine if the Ford can't, I'll just send the yellow one so the red one can stay #3.
I'll get 'em out as soon as I can.And Stroller--there are two or three other clubs in the area that have modified races, including the RIHWC (which I've mentioned a couple times). However, I don't think any of them have weight limits--they just don't allow lubricant of any kind.

whoa... as a past host, please stick a relevant # on the windshield or rear glass, easy to re-move and so much better for a host's pairings....
also when the racing is done and one has a pile of cars to return, consecutive #s makes shipping easier... I know, I just went through it...
Well the 43s on the NASCAR are pretty obvious, so I--or the first host, if they think they have better number stickers--could just put 4s or 2s over the 3s--or use full racing stickers to cover the entire numbers. Let me know what you'd prefer, AMH--I won't be able to get them out any earlier than this afternoon anyway.

I have been putting the numbers on the bottoms of the cars as they arrive. The sticker on the bottom lists the team name and also has the number on it. I also have a sheet of paper that shows the number assigned as they come in, the team name is with that # along with the description of the entrants car. Leave whatever number is on the side of the car as is. The only # that will count is the number on the bottom. The way I have setup I believe it would be very difficult to mix up who's car is who's. On the brackets I have set up, the team name and # are listed on those, and they will be sent along to the next host, this will help out with the next hosts seeding and hopefully keep the same team from racing the same team in the first round matchups. Send it with the 43 on it and I will place the sticker on the bottom when they arrive.
ATTENTION HOSTS:
I have been numbering the cars as they come in by what their arrival time is, ones that arrive the same day, I check the day they went out, if same day, then I find the time they went out. The numbers will run from one up to thirty two. The numbers are placed on the bottom of the car, the sticker also contains the team name. I have a sheet that will be sent along. the Team name is listed, the number, and a complete description of the car. Any numbers already on the body of the car will not count at all, only the team name and number on the bottom. The sheet with all the info be included along with both bracket sheets. The bracket sheet shows the number and team name.
I will also send along any special notes that might be needed or be helpful.

Actually, sitting them on theirvroofs when not in use is probably a better way to go about it. That way, they won't get debris on their axles or wheels from whatever surface they happen to be sitting on (though their hopefully wouldn't be much), and if it's a smooth surface, they won't roll off onto the floor. If the slide around in a tray, more graphite--and the like--will get rubbed off if they're on their wheels. I'm not saying putting them on their roofs is necessary is my opinion, but there's nothing wrong with it.
At any rate, AMH, my cars already have team stickers (one of which is on the bottom), and I won't add any additional numbers. STP actually has a red 2 marked on the bottom of it, but since STP #1 recently got hammered at the RIHWC, don't worry about covering it up. Also, I have not given them any additional numbers. Enjoy!
