Cops and Robbers..CRIME SPREE
Ok, these will be going Prioity mail Monday. Just got them finished about an hour ago. The bad boy is the Shoebox, goes by the alias 'Slippery Shoe". Let's hope he is. The Cop car is the Matchbox '56 Buick Century on a HW Vega base. Didn't have the time to worry about the correct grille and bumpers so it's still got the Vega grille. Haven't come up with a name for it yet.
Im so happy someone entered that Buick Matchbox Copcar. Such a cool looking model. The only problem is that the axle width is so ridiculously short. Glad you found a different base that works!

Thanks. Police cars and emergency vehicles are a good part of my collection and as I had an extra I couldn't resist. Went with the Shoebox to stay in the 50's era.
Got the base swapping idea from seeing all of Smitty's customs. Just had to re-drill the holes in the base and trim a little plastic to get it to fit.

If you don't have it or get it, pick up the Sept. issue of Hot Rod. They did a neat history on hot rodding. Lots of pics and stories on their cover cars from way back and where those cars are now.
Mine will be shipping out later today or first thing saturday morning. Have not thought about any names for them, if I don't come up with something before they arrive, then the name you give them Stroller is what they will be.
