Cops and Robbers..CRIME SPREE

TE, thanks for posting a pic. We use that track at the LJLRC for the Amateur race every other month. We use the poles to raise the starting gate but the rest of the track sits on top of two tables. About 8 ft. I think. It is fast!

Can you tell me where you get the egg crate foam? I've been using air conditioning window foam but it's a little softer and after a 500 race meet it is a little dented. Can't find the egg crate foam anywhere.

Dadvball, I got the foam from work we get all kinds of stuff shipped that foam.

I use the drag tracks set...
BUT... I NEED TO FIND AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER...
I WANT TO ELIMINATE THE XMAS TREE...
I WANT THE CARS TO LAUNCH AT THE FIRST YELLOW LIGHT...
I WANT TO TIME THE CARS NOT MY REACTION...
... I made a light activated cable to plug in instead of the pedal, slid it into a tube aligned with the LED...
but the LED lights on the tree are too weak to run it...[flashlight works great]
willing to pay to have a pro re-solder the circuit board to activate at the first yellow...

.......... ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET THAT DONE ?

I think they have a new Dragtracks starting gate, that tells both times--on based on reaction, the other based on the start; however, I don't know the price.

just sent Wes [EXPERT RACERS/DRAG TRACKS] an email requesting price and availability of JUST the starter unit that displays the times WITHOUT the reaction times...
if reasonable [$] this would let us [some DRAG TRACKS HOSTS], place 3rd to 16th places by their times...I will keep Drag Tracks fans posted...

The Fireball Tim's I have has a switch that allows both reaction time starts as well as test runs which opens the shoot and starts the timer as soon as you hit the pedal.

Not sure if it gives times for both lanes or just for the winner?

Ok race fans...we have some time tonight so following Strollers original race set up....Fishtail and I randomly drew the robber race in, and cop race in pairings. Good luck racers, and this will set the brackets for Sunday!!!

Robbers race in #20 Delta 6 vs #10 Enforcement
Enforcement wins in two, by two cars each time...

Cop race in #19 Delta 6 vs # 15 Nightstalker9
race 1 Delta 6 wins by 1/2 a car tight race
race 2 each car ran the same time...so close, but Delta 6 had the win light

Delta 6 had a tough draw, but came out on top to make the field. The top car from Enforcement looks like it's just getting warmed up.

JDC, you are correct. the right car is pictured...but I wrote down the wrong car number. I am sincerely sorry to both racers. Car# 15 Nightstalker is the winner. Sorry Delta6.
