Crew Chief Challenge - Pick-Ups hauling Hot Rods

36 Cars!!! Holy Smokes! And that's with 2 of them being destroyed by Postal Gorillas! 

So, we are going to do 'race to get in' and the points will start after the field of 32 is set (in other words, you don't get a point for winning the race to get into the field). After that, it will be 1 point per win, with an additional point for winning the overall race.

This is going to be run like the cops and robbers...the trucks will race the trucks and the Hot Rods will race the Hot Rods. And we will take the top 4 from each and race them off.

Thank you...Everybody...for getting these cars ready to roll. I am so sorry that Fat Mike's 3 vehicles got ruined...but, Smitty is hooking him up with a sweet COE!

With all that said, I will turn it over to Smitty. He will run the cars when he can this weekend (or Monday, I'm not sure). I can't wait to see how these guys do...and how they will stack up against the Wagons!

Thanks to everyone for the sympathy and offers to help. Next time my cars are going out in a wooden crate. I was late mailing them waiting on Luke's. I'm glad his made it okay. He would have been very upset. So it could have been worse.

Wow, 100 posts and we haven't started racing yet!

I just wanted to welcome some of the new faces...UDC, Cortez Racing, B & G Racing and C N Red! I hope that you all have fun with the race and come back for more racing in the future!

I keep looking at the staging pics...and every one is awesome! The cars and the trucks look great...just the right mix of 'old racer' and new (and old) cool tucks. When I go to any event (race, tractor pull, car show, etc), I always like looking at the haul rigs as much as the machines themselves...and this way, we get to race them too!

I'm going to have to come up with a cool 'backdrop' for these guys, once they make there way down to Jersey.

I was just looking through the times...and I'm impressed how close the trucks and the Hot Rods are! I knew that mine were pretty close, but I'm glad that held up for the field as well!

And, I think it's cool that the wagons were able to hold there own as well!

B&G  and Cortez both said you could add weight to the backs of their trucks if you haven't already to bring them up to weight. It was my fault that they kept them at 35g and under. I was the one told them everything had to be 35g and under. I told them you offered to add weight to them, but forgot to tell you it was ok. I told them both I didn't know yet if it had been added, if you wouldn't mind, let me know so I can tell them. Leave my truck (AMH-412) at its 35g though, I'll take my own mistakes and lumps as they come. Might be interesting to see how it does with all the heavier trucks.
