I'm in. Already have a heavyweight built. I've got some great funny cars. I can win tha class since all the fast FCs are still you know where.

Say it ain't so, Roberto. No concept cars??? I'll have to dig something out then.

Sorry not good enough for Open Modified.

Sincerely, The EightOC

  • Modified street... how many concepts can you go buy and drive around? — NDeavers80
  • Quite a few! — CrazyEights
  • hotcars.com/concept-cars-that-became-reality/ — CrazyEights
  • Really? Legal concept cars? Huh that's interesting. Like from actual manfucters not some dude building stuff in a personal shop... — NDeavers80
  • there's actually more than that. the hummer h2 is listed by Matchbox as a concept car but it was put into production and sold. — CrazyEights
  • http://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Cadillac_V-16_Concept (this car being listed as a concept is now illegal.) — CrazyEights
  • Well the v16 is a concept car was never actually a production car. The h2 was an actually car so that should be legal. — NDeavers80
  • that's what I'm trying to figure out. he said no concept cars. so where is the line drawn. if its none at all there's a big list that's listed by hot wheels as concept cars. hot wheels.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Concept_Cars (big list!!!) — CrazyEights
  • I can see if the word "Concept" is in the name, i.e. Dodge Concept Car", but many cars, like the Chrysler Pronto, are actually Concept cars too. I think Robby is going to have to clarify this. — Peter_Bee
  • that link I posted has the Jegs SRT Demon and Corvette Stingray listed as concepts. — CrazyEights

Never built a Heavyweight....could be interesting. My best Funny cars are still at The Racer Who Shall Remain Nameless's HQ for a race he never ran, so I'll have to scrounge. But whatever happens at D64, I know the races will be run and my cars will be returned, and that's all I expect.

Take care and see ya at the races!

  • There is some great FCs for about $5-$6 on eBay. The ones I have now are faster than the ones Voldimort has of mine. — CrazyEights
  • Found 2 FCs in my collection and ordered 3 more from eBay, so the best 2 will get sent. Having fun experimenting with the heavyweights lol. — Peter_Bee

  • there's a lot of funny cars cheap. everybody's on king Kenny and john force but I can get other ones cheaper that's just as fast. I bought a crazed clown for a buck at the flea market. its just as fast as the two I'm sending. — CrazyEights

I'll be at all of these and in most classes most months. Thanks for hosting these

Built a street mod for this. Haven't tracked it yet but its one of those builds that was meant to be. Free rollers, no hiccups in building. The one flaw is I painted the wind shield with Walmart paint. Looks like one of those red pill specials. Only hope its as fast as 1904. Lol!

Silverback Racing will definitely bee there.

  • Nice looking group, I just built a 144 gram Evo — BlueLineRacing
  • Don’t sleep on the wheels that come on that Evo. They grew up nice when you work them — BlueLineRacing
  • I still have 3 Evos that are open and 16 in blister. The ones with great wheels are for stock racing. Threat get modded. I keep all the tires whether I use them or not so I'll have them for later use. — CrazyEights

With the Holidays and some other early year obligations I think I'll be too late on the Jan 2nd deadline. If it was mid month I'd make it but I think I'll have to wait till the March event.

Hey everyone, we're just about 3 weeks out. Looking forward to being on the track in 2021 with everyone.

Also if you're shooting for Pro level to race in the Pro Championship race at the end of the year the Heavyweight race is a great opportunity to earn the higher MPH achievements. Definitely don't want to miss out on the heavyweights!

  • Peter Bee is working on stepping up his game. Can't wait for January! — Peter_Bee
  • Question: For the heavyweights, am I allowed to combine two castings into one to make it longer? I did this with two Chevy Nomads and it is just under 3.75" long. — G4DiecastRacing
  • According to the rules, you can modify the cars. As long as it's under 3.75 inches and meets the height and width requirements, it's all good. Robby encourages creativity and would probably love to see that creation. Take care and see ya at the races! — Peter_Bee
  • Cool! Thanks Peter! I better finish it up and get it in the mail ASAP! — G4DiecastRacing
  • Yes, you can stretch cars as long as it fits within the length limit. Excited to see what you come up with. — Diecast64

Was JUST able to scratch together a couple of Modified Street entries and get them out today.  Hopefully USPS treats me well and gets them there in time!

Tough deadline this time of year but I have two heavy weights and 2 funny cars going. Not sure they can win but I need to qualify for the championship at the end of the year so they are in the mail and hopefully the USPS cooperates and gets them there on time.

  • I'm glad you made it. Didn't think I'd see you though with your 2 at home events. — CrazyEights
  • Yeah I just didn’t want to miss the opportunity to qualify for the end of year tournament. They arent necessarily winners but they will get me some achievements — BlueLineRacing
  • That's kinda how I feel. One or all 5 of my entries could tank but if people don't show because of the schedule I may hit some surprise points. I expect though to be up to speed with everyone else by the finals. Just need to figure out what I'm doing wrong. and correct it. — CrazyEights
  • When figuring out all the things I’ve done wrong over the last year the biggest culprit was patience and not taking my time. I’ve never built a good car that was rushed. — BlueLineRacing

Sorry to do this so late in the game. I am going to have to bow out. With the holidays and work time seemed to slip right by. I'm looking forward to sending something your way the next time around. With the names I've seen that are participating it's going to be some killer racing. Have a great New Year!
