Just bought 2 Drone Duty cars today. 2 different colors. Since the tops come off, if you switch them are they technically modified?

I am noob... so the terms and definitions sometimes still confuse me! But, I try to go by this...

And when I have questions, I ask the race director for the specific race as they have the final say as to what is or isn't allowed...
But that being said, that car is made to pop apart so probably ok since the intent is to maintain the base integrity and wheels... so?
