Fantasy League will return in Spring 2014, updates
Season 13 was the last Fantasy League season for 2013. We need the time off to upgrade the game for next year so it can be better than ever. I apologize for the down time but as a weekend hobby I can't juggle both maintaining the current league while doing an upgrade. So please mark your calendars and stay in touch with us here in the forums and on Facebook for updates throughout the rest of the year.
What this all means right now...
- The Fantasy League will be shutting down some time in October
- Player scores and credits will be cleared in October
- Player achievements [i:3buicino] get reset too, TBD
- Race and car history will be preserved
- Variants will try to be preserved but some may get reset

I agree with you and I don't know if the achievements will have to be reset, hopefully not. It's less of a thing I want to do and may be a thing I can't avoid, I'm not sure yet.
Variants might be less of an issue but I'm not 100% sure yet as I haven't gotten that far yet.
I'm going to do my best to save as much historical data as possible but there might be some trade-offs to allow for new features in the game.

Are you going to have a sale on the cars that are still locked at this time as an alternative?
That's a good idea. It'll be so.
Regarding the update, however, I think my plan is that players will retain all the cars they have in their garage at the end of the month. Otherwise the "price" structuring and unlocking is getting a little retooling. And the cars that are left locked will probably be locked when we start up again.
Unfortunately, no, I have no real updates except that progress has been very slow.
It's just about November and I'm not where I wanted to be at this point. I'm unhappy about it but don't regret it as family/work has to take priority. But even with the delay, I'm still shooting for a Memorial Day kick off to the season...that's my goal. With a little luck and vacation time during the holidays, I hope to make up for lost time.
Is there any chance that the fantasy races could be video taped?...

Video is the one thing I have yet to figure how to make efficient. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.
Getting video is less of an issue than editing. I'm just not very good at it so it takes me an hour+ to produce 5 minutes. It has crossed my mind to live stream the races. Not so much because people want to watch in real time but because most services record while they stream so I wouldn't have to post-produce anything.
Video is a unicorn for me when it comes to the fantasy league. If there weren't two races every weekend it would probably be easier too...or if I had a video editor person

I feel it is unfair for players that work very hard to win and earn achievements to reset their achievements.
I also don't like the thought of cars' variants being reset. If the fantasy league gets to be unfair like this, I will not continue to race in it.
