i didn't mean to confuse, i was only filling in the class titles. A TO H,
when we had those classes we had trouble getting 4 not to mention 8 per class...
my vote and only that, is 2 series alternating weekends...weight T.B.A.
FTEs = ? .... next opinion please...

Ha! I certainly didn't mean to have all the classes going at once. I was just asking about a universal class system where everybody agreed on where the weight breaks were. Probably deserves it's own thread.

I think 35 gram Featherweights is still good 'cuz everybody is probably tuned in to that and even came up with faster cars after the last deadline. The 3 Featherweights and 1 ultralight (total of 4 cars) Teams sounds like a good idea too.

The no FTE's is a good idea as well. I don't know how to police that, other than if a certain car or cars are running away with things then give 'em a closer look?

I would like the FEATHERWEIGHT CHALLENGE stay pretty much like it is and maybe have the 'alternate weekend' series be different each season. It's really up to everyone though.

Yes, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I have to say the Featherweight Challenge has been very well organized and run very efficiently. I know this doesn't happen by accident or magic so thanks to all who are making this happen.

If another series started up I would say 75 grams seems like a good number. Without giving it too much thought.

OK . . . the Featherweight Challenge Series I is going to wrap up any month now, so let's revive this thread!

Let's do a Series II. Who's up for hosting?
Here's what's involved:
a) Must be willing to have a helluva lotta fun with the cars
b) Paying for shipping to the next site (w/ delivery confirmation please)
c) And just a little bit of communication skills (we all want to see the results in a timely manner)

Now that the Series has run a while, what changes would you like to see?
The GASSERS are racing in May/June and July is wide open.

pwug me in woadie...
the RACER'S CHOICE will rule, but if OK, and to be different i would like to run them on the
A-OK CORRAL's Burnout Track...
[ "dual speed brake and esses", starter gate and esses ] 28 feet long, 27 inches tall at the pins....
the track's different advantages [ rubbing the siderails during burnout ] should shake up the leader board...
maybe pwug me in mid season so that the change won't be at the points championship "Nationals"....

Pencil me in as a host track. Can run on the standard kicker track or the "new" downhill track, whichever you think would be more interesting. Just let me know dates so I can prepare.

You know I'm in for sure.

Long track? Short track? seems they deliver about the same results so maybe mix it up.

Wish I could find a space to race a 75' track! I'll be on the lookout.

Or maybe a loop or jump or 10' drop in like the real jump Hot Wheels did at Indy.

But I'm cool with no FTE's this go around and same weight limit.
But how about no stock cars? or a stock vs. mod ?

I just like racing!

krykie, no F T E s... i built 14 of the little F.T.E.-S O B s to get the 2 fastest after not doing so well in series 1...but i am a 5 spoker at heart so i'll go with the rules posted

Well can't have that now Smitty.

Maybe two classes, same weight limit.

FTE and Non-FTE. That would make things interesting.

Maybe just FTE and Non-FTE.

They can be modded or stock.

Gotta make this easy for the folks who might not have time to modify a car.
