The "Official Rules" are here:
http://www.redlinederby.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=832

To avoid confusion I've cutteded and pasteded them here:

MUST ENTER TWO FTE AND TWO NON-FTE CARS BY JUNE 27. ONE SERIES, TWO CLASSES.
(Any car w/FTE wheels is an FTE car)
YOUR CARS MUST HAVE DIFFERENT BODIES (no two bodies alike).
STOCK OR MOD OK (IT'S MORE FUN TO MOD!).
NO EARLY REDLINE WHEELS.
CARS MUST WEIGH 34.9 GRAMS OR LESS.
CARS MUST BE LESS THAN 3.5” LONG.
CARS MUST BE LESS THAN 1.25” TALL.
ONLY "DRY" LUBES ARE ALLOWED.
FIRST RACE JUNE 30.

Looks good to me. Let's race!

, for now go modds go !

In a Featherweight class, I believe that if people send in their fastest stock FTEs, these cars will beat the mod-FTEs every time. It would be a lot more interesting of a race if we were restricted to mod-FTEs only, but as Carl said, it would unfortunately diminish the number of participants.

Just to be difficult, I'm going to make two stock FTE cars into non-FTE versions and two stock non-FTE cars into FTE cars!

Good idea. I approve! Also, just to be REALLY annoying, you should use the wheels from the red track ace Retroactive for your non-FTEs since they look almost identical to FTE wheels!

. . . Going to be using all new 2012 releases.

This sounds like a good idea for a mail-in.

This sounds like a good idea for a mail-in.

Sounds like a bad idea for Smitty.

I like the idea, because they are readily available everywhere, but I do like the occasional older cars that pop up.

AN idea for the future could be 4 car (team) entries, where one car is the same model for everyone. Modding is OK.

Or a 4 car team and an extra car that is the same model for everyone (and those cars get there own separate race). Modding OK.

TLD, I'm digging the same model idea.
