GASSER WARS 2/ CHEVELLE CUP

The stakes are high in this special elimination/qualification Gasser race. We have these four cars all competing for the eighth and final spot in the Gasser Wars Series II.

For the Main event Chevelle/Gasser Sunday races I'm planning on running double eliminations I think that's what everybody wants, but don't remember if we agreed on it or not.

Here are the first round match ups.

I think all the host have to be consistent in order for the points system to work correctly, although I believe the Johnny Club only has time for single eliminations.

That car is a result of a collaboration between the Sloppy Jalopies and Tastelikedirt Racing. The Sloppies disassembled, chopped the top and painted the car. Tastelikedirt added wheels, suspension work and some general assembly.

I'm confused. Shouldn't Smitty know about this? He kinda is the sloppy jalopies!

nope, it was an extra '67 'velle, used the roof i cut off my entrant in the top chop... sent it to a more chev-freindly home... can't wait to see what it looks like ... go - taste like jalopies - go....

This is all I have time for now. The Chevelles race today. The rest of the Gasser results and Chevelle results should be up late Sunday night.

As noted above the Chevelle has been disqualified and will be replaced. I can't change the photos until tonight.

Also, the correct number for the Hurst Olds Gasser is #16 not #17. This will be corrected tonight also.

I thought the rear wheels on the gasser were not allowed to be FTE?

Oh shoot! I think you're right about that. (Good thing somebody is paying attention around here). So, the TastelikeJaloppies car gets disqualified.

I'm going to race the Tastelikedirt Thunderbird #23 against Sloppy Jalopies car #17. The winner of that race will race against the Half Fast car #10.

You may have also noticed that Smitty blue car and the Hurst Olds Gasser is also #17, well, the Hurst Olds is actually #16. I hope no one is keeping track of all the mistakes going on around here. I'm gonna blame it on the replacement refs'.
