GASSER WARS 2/ CHEVELLE CUP
Yeah...that race between the rule breaking Chevelle and the Half Fast Chevy was the best and closest of the day. It went three and each race was a fender difference.
Sorry to be dragging Smittys name through the mud here. He didn't know anything about this car until I entered it in the race. I put the wheels on there. Obviously it's a Chevelle and I started finishing the build to compete with the Chevelles and at some point I realized that we didn't have enough Gassers so I went that way and forgot all about the FTE rule. Sorry about that.
Sloppy Jalopies blue Gasser #23 beat the Tastelikedirt Thuderbird in two straight races and will be the new Replacement/eighth spot in the Gasser Wars 2 Series.

When I host a race and the cars arrive there's usually a first impression I get. Weather a car might be fast or not. Sometimes it's the cars body style, or the general construction/feel of a car, or whatever. With the Chevelles however after handling them a couple days taking pictures, giving the cars numbers ect, I say the whole thing is up for grabs right now. It seems like any of these cars could win the whole thing. There's a few different approaches for sure, but I don't have any idea which one is going to prove to be right.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention my first impressions are almost always wrong.
black convertible Chevelle with the roll cage is amazing.
That Chevelle is quality throughout! Super Awesome solid car that rolls straight as an arrow.
This Half Fast Chevy is a great looking car. Really solid, feels good when you hold it in your hand. Rolls straight...really nice craftsmanship on this car!
