GASSER WARS/CHEVELLE CUP
The first race of the GASSER WARS/CHEVELLE CUP will be the weekend of September 15/16 in Sonora CA. Looking for a few more host tracks as well as an event sponsor (being a sponsor gets your name as sponsor, you host the last race of the series and then you get stuck with postage returning the cars to the entrants).
a. pre 1970 cars, station wagons and pick-up trucks (no open vehicles or roadsters, no fantasy cars) built to resemble "Gassers" of the fifties and sixties. Must have four original fenders, modification for wheel clearance ok.
b. front runners up front on all cars (HW skinny's, ex: Madfast, Astro Funk, Passin' Gasser), axles must remain one piece (no FTE axles).
c. rear wheels: no FTE, no HSW and no Redline wheels, axles must remain one piece (no FTE axles)
d. no extended wheelbases, wheelbase must be as intended for a typical stock single engined car.
e. weight limit - 45 grams or less.
ONLY ENTER ONE CAR.
CARS MUST BE LESS THAN 3.5” LONG.
CARS MUST BE LESS THAN 1.25” TALL.
ONLY "DRY" LUBES ARE ALLOWED.

I've got two Chevelles that are at the midway point. Hopefully one of them is fast. Also, hopefully I can finish them up so I have time to make another if both the first two suck. Which I have a feeling they will. I also hope I accidentally put together a fast Gasser like last time.

My first Vell was 'ok' my 2nd hangs up there with my top 3 fastest cars so I feel good about that. The 3rd Vell's job is to try and beat the 2nd. So far I havnt been able to tweek him into doing so.
Since #2 looks like it might be the entry I just put him back in the stripper. To paint it a different color.
"Novacane" don't count? Maybe a tuneup and send it back out for "Gasser Wars II"
second place to the dastardly demon at FRYBURG... shouldn't be much tuning needed there. come to think of it, i felt a little numb after getting spanked by Novacane in the first round...
The one Nightstalker built for the last Gasser series. It was a good car with bad luck or something.
Carl, you can count the Lincoln Johnny Lightning Race Club in on this series! The only thing is we meet the second Sunday of each month.
