GASSER WARS/CHEVELLE CUP
can't set up the drag tracks set yet [thumb], and the burnout track doesn't produce the fastest car...neither of the gasser sloppies or "velle" have been raced on a straight track...
i'll pick the gasser that looks best on the trailer and send it with the velle monday... go sloppies go
Is it too late to get in on this? I would just enter in the chevelle category. Let me know ASAP so I can build and send a car.
quickie gasser ;
don't drill the rivits, snip off the stock front axle [dykes],
drill an approx. 1/8" hole directly under the front axle, [doesn't have to be in the center],
with a hacksaw or just the blade, saw a slot under the base to lay the skinny drag wheels's axle in,
mix some j.b.quick [j.b.weld tends to run] push some through the hole you drilled, spread some in the hacksaw slot [ stay away from the outside edges]...
lay the new axle in the j.b.'ed slot, let set about 1.5 minutes,
next flip over onto it's wheels then align and space the wheels out from the base,
after 2 minutes, roll test, recheck spacing, roll test again...
to fine tune press the pointed end of a large saftey pin into the j.b.quick on the opposite side of the axle that you want it to move, it will compress the j.b.quick and force the axle in the direction you want... SEE YOU IN LANE TWO !

Sent 4 cars out today, 2 Gassers, 2 Chevelles. I'll run the Novacane Nova along with the Flaming Turd Chevelle. If ya need more entries run the Nightstalker Chevelle and the Hurst Gasser too. I'd like to see if the Olds will make it through the series
